Num 13:6 son of Jephunneh. Num 34:19 the representative of Judah at the division of Canaan. Josh 14:6 called a Kenizzite, some thing this refers to the descendant of Esau, which would make this loyal Israelite part of the mixed multitude. Another possability is that Kenaz was the brother of Caleb and father of Othniel, this is followed here. (see SDA Bible Commentary on this verse and 15:16).
