I have taken it the other way. I can so no strong reason for either method. Young's An.Con. suggests he is grandfather of Caleb, son of Jephunnah. See Rin 603. The SDA Bible Dictionary says this is based on the assumption that the "daughter of Caleb" Achsah, mentioned in 1 Chron.4:49 (Rin 443) is the well known daughter of Caleb son of Jepthuneh,
