Notes

Caleb Chelubai *-332

1 Chron.2:9 here called Chelubai, but this is probably a designation for his clan.
1 Chr 2:18 in this verse two wives and three sons are listed. The SDA BibCom assumes these are the sons of the first wife listed and those in v.42 are those of the second. I have taken it the other way. I can so no strong reason for either method. Young's An.Con. suggests he is grandfather of Caleb, son of Jephunnah. See Rin 603. The SDA Bible Dictionary says this is based on the assumption that the "daughter of Caleb" Achsah, mentioned in 1 Chron.4:49 (Rin 443) is the well known daughter of Caleb son of Jepthuneh,

Jerioth-355

1 Chr2:18 the verse is ambiguous, the SDABibCom suggests these are the sons of the first wife and the children in v42-45 are those of Jerioth, but I will take it the other way.
